DockDoor overview
DockDoor enhances window management and interaction — it allows users to seamlessly switch between application windows, providing features such as window previews, easy navigation, and improved multitasking capabilities.

New Features
- Choose how dock previews open
- Pick Hover, Middle Click, or Modifier Click with the "Dock Preview Trigger" option in Settings > Dock Previews > Dock Interaction
- Modifier Click lets you choose the key with the "Dock Preview Modifier" picker: Option (default), Control, Shift, or Command
- Press Space to play or pause music in media previews
- Works whenever a single media preview is on screen, no mouse needed
- New Liquid Glass variant 20 with adjustable blur
- Combines variant 19's native glass look with working blur and saturation sliders
- Find it in Settings > Appearance by moving the glass variant control to 20
- New "Open App Window" action for middle-clicking a preview
- Brings the window to the front, restoring it if minimized or hidden
- On previews of apps with no open windows, it opens the app instead
- Assign it in Settings > Gestures & Keybinds > Mouse Actions > Middle Click
Improvements & Stability
- Folder previews are faster and smoother.
- Window switcher opens faster and responds more quickly to selection changes.
- Lower background activity when apps rapidly change window titles, such as plugin windows.
- Updated translations across the app.
- Updated internal components for reliability and security.
Bug Fixes
- No longer crashes Ableton Live's plugin scanner
- DockDoor no longer inspects invisible background helper processes
- Also prevents similar conflicts with other apps that use background helpers
- Switching to a Chrome or Brave web app no longer quits it
- Also avoids a potential crash when focusing windows on macOS 14.7.4 and later
- Previews for windows close to the display edge, or any window touching the very top of a screen, appear on the correct monitor in multi-display setups
- Clicks inside an open preview are no longer mistaken for dock clicks

I have tried all the apps that show dock previews and enhance the behavior of Cmd-Tab app switching and this one is by far the best!

Played with it for a while.. unable to see how it would improve productivity. Was unable to get previews in Window Switcher mode. Not all windows were previewed in Dock for Chrome and some other apps. Some apps with a tabbed system like QSpace were shown as a single window. DockDoor had a hard time creating previews for some apps unless they were in the forefront, and even so that at times would not update preview to the real opened windows.. or not preview at all, or only show me a few when I had many more opened as in my Browsers. Seems to not play well with FullScreen and Show/Hide dock. Dunno, I guess it flies over my head and takes quite a bit of customization to benefit from it. If such an app takes me too long to wrap my head around I delete it. I've never seen such an app (Dock and Spaces enhancements) really come of its own over the years, they come and go. I won't grade it, maybe given the time it could be useful. Not for me.
